SSS Competence, Skills & Wellbeing CIC (Company No. 16718061) is a Community Interest Company created to put safety before profit and enable the prevention of harm.
We provide the tools that make competence transparent, accessible, and trusted — supporting individuals, employers, and communities across all stages of life, while advancing sustainability and wellbeing.
Our CIC exists to ensure that individuals, employers, schools, and community partners all have equal access to the same standards and tools normally restricted to commercial markets.
Why We Exist
Our purpose is to protect people and raise standards.
By embedding the SKEB model (Skills, Knowledge, Experience, and Behaviours), we provide the framework to ensure competence is measured fairly—beyond qualifications alone.
Our systems deliver authorisation, verification, and validation of each individual, giving employers, regulators, and communities confidence that competence is real, current, and trusted.
We believe that prevention, safety, and well-being are community priorities, not commercial privileges.
The SSS Competency Passport (SSSCP)
At the heart of our CIC is the SSS Competency Passport (SSSCP) — a live digital ecosystem that captures Skills, Knowledge, Experience, and Behaviours (SKEB) from school-leaver age through to retirement.
The Passport goes beyond qualifications. It provides authorisation, verification, and validation in real time, giving employers, regulators, and communities confidence that competence is transparent and trusted.
Our CIC purchases the SSSCP ecosystem at cost from SSSCP Ltd and makes it available to the community. Any surplus generated through this activity is not taken as private profit — it is reinvested into prevention, wellbeing, and sustainability projects for public benefit.
